The European Forum for Advanced Practices (EFAP) is an open and inclusive research network originating from universities, NGOs and community-based organizations, independent research entities, museums, and a wide range of arts academies. Formed as a European COST Action from 2019, EFAP’s broad goal is to establish a dialog across the boundaries that often separate these contexts and to promote exchange with a focus on emergent forms of artistic- and practice-based research.
Contributions include publications and developments, interviews and studies around the idea of the 'fringes' of Europe and of attentions (peripheries, outskirts, margins). The ways in which these liminal sites concentrate and disperse power, creative energies, and strategies for creating infrastructures of care, friendship and solidarity.
