Large metropolises, where modern infrastructures are most dense, increasingly constitute a re-usable landscape of re-sources. As the planet urbanises, strategies for reconceptualising the public/private nature of the technosphere become necessary.
For Natural Resources a series of performative actions, in cities, in which household electrical appliances are operated from active public power outlets are photographed, in situ. Provoking interactions with parks and services personnel, security guards and the public at large, the project initiates dialogues about who and what can derive from publicly available systems of power. The first iteration of the project was form through collaboration with lan Curry.
